How to Apply for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
At My Ca.Sa Charter School, we are committed to ensuring all students have access to nutritious meals. Families can apply for free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP).
Step 1: Obtain an Application
At the beginning of each school year, a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application will be sent home with students.
If you need an application later in the year, you may request one from your school’s office at any time.
Step 2: Complete the Application
Fill out all required sections of the application, including household income details.
Ensure the information is accurate to determine eligibility.
Step 3: Submit the Application
Return the completed application to your school’s office.
The school or local educational agency will review and process your application.
Step 4: Receive an Eligibility Determination
Once processed, you will receive a notification regarding your child’s eligibility.
If approved, your child will begin receiving free or reduced-price meals.
Automatic Eligibility for SNAP Recipients
If your household receives Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, your child is automatically eligible for free school meals.
